The Help for Email Cleaner is mostly in the program itself. Currently this program needs a PowerMac, and 1250k of free RAM.
What does it do?
Email Cleaner re-wraps badly wrapped lines, fixing those lines. Badly wrapped lines is a problem that all Internet users come across, and usually daily. It wraps text to any width, putting all those precious quote marks in the right place. It has other cleaning features, including adding quotes, removing quotes, adding spaces before each line, turning HTML emails into nice normal emails. And generally fixes anything annoying that an Internet user is likely to come across in an email, except for content.
Email Cleaner is very easy on the user. It integrates with all your programs, you only need to click on a button in a window that stays ontop of all your other windows to get emails cleaned. Its that simple.
Also:
Email Cleaner batch "Shrinks" entire folders of HTML files by removing unneeded lines and spaces. Email Cleaner knows how to avoid pictures, programs and other non-text files. It is almost as expert at mass-shrinking HTML files as cleaning emails. This can take a 160k HTML file down to 38k.

Email Cleaner can handle far more complex texts than this of course. To see a good example of a complex and badly messed up text, open up Email Cleaner and use the "Example Text" button in the Help window.

Versions:
Version 1.3 of Email Cleaner can clean up text with one mouseclick! No more manual copy and paste.
Version 1.40 has improved cleaning, neater interface. This version fixes a serious bug in version 1.3 only that was caused by a disk error on my end.
Version 1.42 has more improvements to cleaning, updated help and a bug fixed.
Version 1.44 is many times faster, slightly smarter, and has more features such as adding spaces to each line.
Version 1.5 is smarter on cleaning, and fixes a few bugs, and has a better interface.
Version 1.6 has batch HTML file shrinking ability, a better interface, and is smarter still on cleaning emails.
Version 1.62 is more memory efficient, and warns the user instead of trying to clean a file or text if there isn't enough memory.
Notes:
Email Cleaner should work with Macs that use the Palm Desktop Extension now, unlike earlier verisons.
You should install the TSM Fix extension if you dont have it already. This extension is not absolutely needed for Email Cleaner. It fixes a bug in the MacOS, that, as of MacOS 9, Apple still haven't fixed. TSM Fix was made a long time before Email Cleaner by someone else, so you can assume it works fine for any system. It fixes a situation where sometimes clicking on a floating window of the kind Email Cleaner uses, doesn't work. ICQ and a few other applications also need this fix. The TSM Fix extension comes with the Email Cleaner package. To install, drag the file onto your System Folder. If you are told that it already exists there, you don't need to replace the file, although nothing bad will happen if you do. If you are asked if you want to put it in the Extensions folder, just answer "OK".
Licensing Scheme
In order to buy Email Cleaner, you must agree to be legally bound by this licencing scheme.
You are allowed 1 copy of "Email Cleaner", per payment, per computer. As many users as you like can use this copy of Email Cleaner on that computer alone, and only that computer.
You can keep your bought copy on other computers, if these copies are not being run at the same time. If you want to run many copies of "Email Cleaner" at once, then you will have to buy extra copies.
